Leadership/Organizational Development Consultant

Job Description: The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio is the only academic medical center in Central Ohio and ranked as one of “America’s Best Hospitals" by U.S. News and World Report for 17 consecutive years!  We have also been chosen, three years in a row, as one of Columbus’ Best Places to Work.   

The Department of Education, Development and Resources provides training and development services for individuals and groups, ranging from new employee orientation and new leader on-boarding, leadership development programs including coaching services, and clinical skills training. Also provided are coordination of professional development programs and organizational development consulting services. The OSUMC Faculty/Staff satisfaction survey is also conducted by this department.  

The Leadership/Organizational Development Consultant works with OSUMC leaders to design effective strategies for accomplishing departmental and organizational goals. 

OD Consultant functions:

- Partner with Business Units to achieve organizational and cultural change and development, using OD approaches.

- Partner with Leaders to have a positive impact on the day to day operations of employee teams.

- Support a healthy culture and workplace of choice environment by building alignment with the Strategic Objectives and facilitating organizational change for improvement at all levels.

- Work with clients to promote positive individual and organizational growth in alignment with organizational goals and values. 

Education/Skills Required: Master's degree in adult education, employee development, human resource development, human resource management, organizational development, industrial/organizational psychology or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
